The Summer Intensive Guitar Program (SI-G) invites guitar lovers of all ages and abilities* to explore the art of the classical guitar with VCM faculty and international guests. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced players will find engaging activities including individual lessons, technique sessions and masterclasses.

St. Dunstan's Anglican Church
Members of Orontes Guitar Quartet, comprised of Syrian guitarists Orwa Al Sharaa, Gabriel Al Botros, and Meer Mahmoud, will be joined by Canadian guitarist Simon Farintosh for an evening of music for guitar quartet and trio. This exciting program will feature works by Philip Glass, Leo Brouwer, Olga Amelkina-Vera, among others. All proceeds will be directed towards Orontes members as they seek refugee status in Canada.
Simon Farintosh - A Guitar Recital

This afternoon recital will feature solo guitar works by A. Tansman, M. Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and J. Hetu, in addition to transcriptions of A. Scriabin and T. Monk. All donations will be directed towards the St. George's Children's Ministry. Reception to follow.
